About the Event

Ruff Ride Pittsburgh 2025 is more than just an exciting community gathering—it’s a powerful, purpose-driven fundraiser organized by the incredible team at Team Foster. This annual event is designed to raise critical funds and awareness for the life-changing mission of pairing Service Dogs with Veterans who need them most.

Founded in honor of Captain Erick Foster, a decorated Army Ranger who gave his life in service to our country, Team Foster is a nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that no Veteran fights alone. Through advocacy, community outreach, and engaging events like Ruff Ride, Team Foster helps provide fully trained, professionally matched service dogs to disabled Veterans—at no cost to the recipient. These dogs are essential partners, offering emotional and physical support that often transforms lives.

At the heart of the Pittsburgh chapter’s efforts is Ruff Ride Pittsburgh, a dynamic event featuring live music, cycling challenges, inspiring guest speakers, and an unmatched sense of camaraderie. By participating, attending, or donating, you’re directly supporting the training, placement, and lifelong care of service dogs for Veterans in need.

This year’s Ruff Ride is taking place at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, one of Pittsburgh’s premier indoor venues, known for its cutting-edge design and immersive acoustics. It’s the perfect backdrop for the high-energy, heartfelt performance Foxy’s Moxie (a.k.a. The Collective) is proud to deliver. Convenient parking is available in the garage adjacent to the venue, making attendance as easy as it is meaningful.

Meet the Band Behind the Music

We are Foxy’s Moxie, also known as The Collective—a band that’s as passionate about music as we are about our mission. Our sound spans the decades, performing hits from the 1950s through today, blending soul, rock, and heartfelt energy into every performance.

But what makes this performance truly special is our connection to the cause:

• ️ Three members of our band are Disabled Veterans who understand firsthand the challenges faced by those returning from service.

• Foxy, our beloved Long-Haired German Shepherd and certified Medical Service Dog, is not only our on-stage companion but the heart and soul of the band. Wearing her iconic red hearing protection, Foxy lies faithfully beside her musician—offering balance support, emotional grounding, and a powerful symbol of resilience and hope.

Through our music, we aim to entertain, inspire, and support the mission of Ruff Ride. We believe in the healing bond between Veterans and Service Dogs, and we’re proud to lend our voices—and our story—to this cause.
