Bio: Kristi Servey

Personal Background: Kristi Servey, born in Okinawa, Japan, moved to Pittsburgh as a teenager and currently calls Wheeling, West Virginia home. Known simply as Kristi, her musical roots run deep and are intertwined with her upbringing.

Musical Journey: Kristi’s love for music started at home, surrounded by her Filipino mother’s love for karaoke and her father’s piano playing and singing. At just 8 years old, Kristi won a karaoke contest against adults on a military base, solidifying her love for performing. Her singing style is dynamic and soulful, with a tendency to belt out powerful notes. Following major throat surgery, Kristi is courageously rediscovering her voice, embracing the challenges and triumphs along the way.

Band Experience: As the lead singer, Kristi brings raw energy, emotional depth, and a strong stage presence to every performance. Her favorite song to perform is “Me and Bobby McGee”, a lively and infectious number that perfectly captures her style.

Behind the Scenes: When not on stage, Kristi is a dedicated mother of three and spends her time creating special memories with her kids. When she gets a rare date night, she loves indulging in great food. A fun fact? She’s an excellent dart player but hilariously admits she’s “horrible at bowling” despite loving it.

Personal Philosophy: For Kristi, “Music is a mood.” It reflects her emotions and connects her to every song she sings.

Looking Ahead: Kristi’s dream for the band is simple yet heartfelt: to enjoy every moment and have fun performing. For her, it’s not about the venue but about the joy of sharing music with others.

Gear and Fun Facts: Kristi prepares her voice with Cheryl Porter vocal warmups and stays hydrated with plenty of liquids before hitting the stage.

On Foxy: “I love Foxy being around because she has saved my dad’s life. She keeps him safe, and that is priceless. She is also a very sweet and beautiful pup.”
